Town-Wide Raffle 2017
What is the Town-Wide Raffle?
The Town-Wide Raffle is an annual POPS-organized fundraiser for Stoughton High School band and choir students. The money we raise at the 2017 and 2018 Town-Wide Raffles will help fund our 2018 Music Trip (tentatively planned for Washington D.C.). The fundraiser runs in two phases:
Phase 1: Individual Sales to Friends and Family
Students will receive raffle tickets in class. They have several months to sell these tickets to friends and family. Money from ticket sales (as well as any unsold tickets) must be returned before the raffle drawings in May.
Phase 2: Town-Wide Raffle Weekend (April 28th-30th, Fri-Sun)
Students sign up for shifts for the 2017 Town Wide Raffle Weekend, April 28th-30th. Throughout this weekend, students will be all around town selling tickets at various public locations. Parent volunteers are present at every site to supervise.
How much are the raffle tickets?
Each individual raffle ticket is worth $1. One pack of tickets (6 tickets) is only $5!
When are the raffle drawings?
Drawings for the Town-Wide Raffle will take place at both the spring Instrumental Concert and Choral Concert (May 12th and May 18th). Winners who aren’t present at the concert will be contacted by the phone number they list on their ticket.
What types of prizes are available?
There will be lots of prizes! Raffle prizes include gift cards to many local businesses and restaurants. Grand prize is a $500 gift card! Anyone can buy as many tickets as they want to.
Where does the money go?
The funds raised by the 2017 and 2018 Town-Wide Raffles will be used to discount the cost of the 2018 Music Trip for all students. If every student sold just 10 packs of tickets over the next two years, the trip would cost $50 less! More ticket sales mean that everyone pays less for the trip. If everyone does their part, we can work together to make the 2018 Music Trip more affordable for every student and every family.
