Stoughton's O'Donnell Middle School's Honor Chorus competed in the Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association April 6th 2019 at Norwood High School. Ms. Betty Bauman was very excited for the students as they earned a Silver Medal. This is an especially high achievement considering the group has only existed for two years and that they rehearse only once a week.
The Honor Chorus sang the following three songs: Viva! - W. A. Mozart (arr. Patrick Liebergen) ‘Cross the Wide Missouri - American folk sing (arr. Don Besig/Nancy Price) Climbin’ Up the Mountain - spiritual (arr. Patsy Ford Simms) Ms. Betty Bauman and Mr. Daniel Block conducted the group and were also impressed that the students not only performed well but behaved in a professional manner throughout the entire day, both onstage and in the audience. Ms. Bauman said "They certainly made OMS shine today!"
