Stoughton High Schools Evening of Jazz will be in the Stoughton High Auditorium on Wednesday April 6, 2022 beginning at 7:30 PM.
OMS Jazz Band will perform: Ben's Blues by Carl Strommen, Sunday Morning by Neal Hefti and Oye Como Va by Tito Tuete. They will be directed by Mr. Alex Wang The SHS Wednesday Jazz Band will perform: In the Mood by Joe Garland, Georgia on My Mind by Hoagy Carmichael and Hey Jude by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Andrew Carlson was on Guitar and Aidan Rothman was on Bass. They will be directed by Mr. John Mange. The Faculty Jazz Combo will be announced from the stage The Jazz Voices will perform: California Dreaming by Kerry Marsh, The Gospel of John Hurt: arr Kerry Marsh, and L-O-V-E arr. Kirby Shaw. They will be conducted by Ms. Sarah LaBrie. The SHS Jazz Combo will perform There Will Never Be Another You by Harry Warren and Take the A Train. by Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn. Mr. Alex Wang: Advisor The SHS Tuesday Jazz Band will perform: Cotton Tail with Soloists: Zachary Mandosa, Trumpet, Caleb Mendonca, Tenor Sax, Emily Hoang, Baritone Sax, and Adriana Pryadko, Piano. Isfahan by Duke Ellington Featuring McKayla Williams on Alto Sax and The Chicken by Alfred James Ellis with Soloists Andrew Carlson, Guitar and Abigail Durand, Trombone. They will be directed by Mr. Alex Wang Tickets will be available at the door.  The Stoughton High Theatre will be performing MAMMA MIA at Stoughton High School Auditorium. There will be FOUR performances!
Tickets can be bought by scanning the QR Code or can be bought at the door at the time of the performance. The students and instructors have been working and preparing for the performances. Backstage crews have been building sets, working on lighting and sound. Performers have been rehearsing very hard as well. Mr. Hallock has brought in various artists to work with the students.
