Stoughton High School, 232 Pearl Street, Stoughton MA will be hosting the Massachusetts Association of Jazz Education's Southeast District Jazz Festival on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Eleven local high school Jazz Ensembles, including two from Stoughton High School; they will be adjudicated at the MAJE Festival by a panel of highly regarded jazz musicians and educators. Each band will then get a 25 minute clinic with an adjudicator to improve upon their craft. Tickets at the door are $8 per person or $5 for seniors and students. The program starts at 3PM and the last performance begins at 8:30 PM. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY AWARDS CEREMONIES. BANDS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AFTER THEIR CLINICS Stoughton's Wednesday Jazz Band will perform at 3 PM and Stoughton's Tuesday Jazz Band will perform at 5 PM. We regret to announce that SHS's production of Shakespeare in Love is being postponed indefinitely. The play will not take place this weekend as originally scheduled. The Drama Club has been working diligently for the past few months and I am sure you will have a great evening at the theater! The play is based on the 1951 Disney Film Alice in Wonderland and the novels: The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.
